Writing your own obituary
Adrian Furnham
A chapter in The Talented Manager, 2012, pp 237-238 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract A surprisingly large number of people start their day by reading the obituary column of their preferred newspaper. Some, the old saying goes, do it to establish that they are still alive. Obituaries are a wonderful way to mark the passage of time; to look back, and to evaluate not only a life but also an era. They are indeed historical records: a window into an age and a catalogue of deeds of important people.
