The Cost-effectiveness of the New Media in Higher Education (1974)

M. Oatey

Chapter 17 in Tackling Inequality, 1999, pp 332-353 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract If industries are ranked by their rate of technical progress, communication comes high and higher education low. This seems surprising, since to a large extent higher education is communication. However, it is less surprising when one considers the differing views of the educational technologists about what precise advantages they have to offer.
