Chapter 3 in Secondary Privatisation in Transition Economies, 2003, pp 91-122 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Much has been written about privatisation in the transition economies. However, little has been written about post-privatisation ownership changes in privatised companies and what relation such changes might have to corporate performance. In this chapter we examine the question of post-privatisation ownership changes, or ‘secondary privatisation’ — to use a term coined by Barbara Błaszczyk — in Polish companies privatised by what are often called, for simplicity’s sake, employee buyouts. 1
