Abstract:
Abstract Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is used to calculate relative efficiencies and Malmquist productivity indices for banks in eight of the countries which comprise the single EU market: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, and the UK.
