Chapter 5 in Growth, Trade and Endogenous Technology, 1996, pp 71-95 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter provides the first robust and direct evidence of the impact of endogenous sources of technological change upon long-run output growth across manufacturing. In an open economy context, in which knowledge spillovers across countries and trade effects are also considered, the allocation of human capital to business R&D activities remains a key force driving the productivity of capital.
