The Cost of Care
David Reisman
Chapter 6 in The Political Economy of Health Care, 1993, pp 107-118 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The cost of care is rising, both in developed and in developing countries, both as an absolute value and as a proportion of a national product that is itself rising. Also rising is the share in the burden that is shouldered by the State. The cost of care is clearly a problem of political as well as of economic relevance.
