A chapter in Arming the South, 2002, pp 1-11 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract After marked reductions in military spending in the 1990s that followe the end of the cold war there now seems to be a leveling off and even the possibility of future increases in military budgets. This is not the result c any obvious significant change in the strategic environment, but would seem to be the result of countries’ internal debate over their security and economic needs.
