Chapter 8 in Financing European Transport Infrastructure, 1999, pp 179-202 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Airports account for a relatively small proportion of investment in transport infrastructure — around 5 per cent — but are the mode with the greatest capacity for self-finance. They have shown the same sharp rise in investment levels as air traffic control systems, although the amounts of money involved are 3–4 times larger.
