Occupational Violence, Psycho-Terror and Terrorism
Paul McCarthy
Chapter 5 in Safeguarding the Organization against Violence and Bullying, 2004, pp 80-109 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In the discussion that follows, the concept of psycho-terror provides a bridge that enables the investigation of common causes, and mutually furthering moments in workplace bullying/violence and global terrorism. The approach taken examines these phenomena through lenses of post traumatic stress, identity, organization, urbanization and gender, as well as lineages of victimization in Western thought.
