Geneviève Reday-Mulvey
Chapter 1 in Working Beyond 60, 2005, pp 11-20 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Demographic factors and prospects are already very well-known and have recently been substantiated by international studies. We shall mention here only the main trends having significant relevance for employment beyond 60. This first chapter deals with three main aspects and their future evolution: (i) a longer life, health and retirement expectancy, (ii) changes in the population age structure and (iii) the consequent shrinking workforce and population.
