Achieving Best Practice
Fiona Westwood
Chapter 2 in Accelerated Best Practice, 2004, pp 11-44 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This Chapter introduces readers to the Model for Success. Like any new skill, we need to learn to walk before we can run. This Chapter therefore explains the background to the Model, introduces us to the core importance of values and summarises its five individual Segments. It explains the importance of effective management and leadership, maximising our use of resources, building valuable client relationships, choosing our development options, and matching our shape and skills. Each of these Segments is then developed in more depth in Chapters 4 to 8.
