Shaping up for Success
Fiona Westwood
Chapter 8 in Accelerated Best Practice, 2004, pp 167-191 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Throughout this book, I have emphasised the importance of being able to change. By working our way through the Model for Success, we convince people of the benefits of change and as a result, develop a willingness to change. In Chapter 2, we looked at the importance of matching our operational structure and shape to support the direction we are taking. I deliberately used both words ‘shape’ and ‘structure’ to emphasise that organisational structure by itself is not enough.
