Abstract: Abstract Tesco plc is one of the most celebrated companies in the UK, a star of the retailing sector. Its story and successful transformation has been well documented over the years: in numerous articles, a number of books (notably Counter Revolution – The Tesco Story, Grafton Books, 1991, and Tiger by the Tail, Macmillan, 1999) and not least, in several recent TV documentaries.
