Chapter 1 in Mentoring, 2004, pp 3-6 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The Henley Learning Partnership was set up by Henley Management College in 1995. Its objective is to provide an arena in which organisations can benefit from the synergy of working together to share and explore development issues. There are now around 40 member organisations in the Partnership and managers from these organisations attend over 30 events at Henley each year. These events include specialist forums, conferences and a number of focus groups looking at particular development areas. One of these is the Mentoring Focus Group, which has been running in its present form since 1999. It is one of the most popular of the focus groups and the level of interest in mentoring amongst the member population seems to get stronger each year.
