The CEO as Innovation Champion
Georges Haour
Chapter Chapter 2 in Resolving the Innovation Paradox, 2004, pp 15-29 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Considering the paradox that although innovation is central to the competitiveness of firms, CEOs — Chief Executive Officers — of cornpanies rarely put this issue on top of their action-list, resolving it involves providing appropriate incentives to the CEOs, while fostering a governance system more supportive of value-creating innovations over the longer term.
