Chapter Chapter 15 in The Bending Moment, 2005, pp 121-127 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract As the foundation of all business ventures is making money, this clearly has a great deal of influence on the way that organizations operate, and the way this is managed can have a significant impact on the balance of an organization. There can be few of us who do not recognize that the key driver behind any business is the need to generate profits for the many stakeholders involved. From experience, the drive to create value and profits can often get overshadowed within organizations when the focus becomes based more on considerations of allocation rather than generation.
