Chapter 1 in Inspire to Innovate, 2005, pp 1-11 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Innovation is relatively new to Asia. Effective management of innovation is scarce in Asia. Until recently, innovation in Asia was a subject that commanded almost no attention. The region was booming; there were lots of investments in facilities and infrastructure. The ‘tiger economies’ were considered to be the new model of growth.
