Abstract:
Abstract While we are clear that ‘the big three’ (Carrefour, Tesco and Wal-Mart) are the major players internationally, there are several other companies that have made significant progress — indeed, some are in many more countries than anyone except Carrefour. Some may become global players. Here, we describe them briefly and assess their chances.
