Post-integration Review

Frank Vielba and Carol Vielba

Chapter 11 in Reducing the M&A Risks, 2006, pp 160-168 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Good project management involves undertaking regular reviews throughout a project as well as a final review, which looks back across the project as a whole and measures the benefits achieved against the objectives set. The final review may be combined with or may precede a review of the lessons learned, which can lead to improvements in practice in the future. However the review is organised, the important point is that it is taken seriously and given importance. Unfortunately this is not always the case and as a result some companies pay a heavy price in the longer term when they are next involved in an M&A.
