Chapter 1 in Organizational Stress, 2005, pp 3-6 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This book has been written to share the experience of the two authors who both consult with organizations and managers on the topics of stress, health, vitality management, and well-being at work. Both believe passionately that, with the right guidance and adequate attention, organizations and managers can greatly enhance the well-being of staff and keep stress at acceptable levels. Prevention of excessive stress is much better than helping people to cope once they are already suffering.
