Austrian Furniture Retailers’ Perspective on the Austrian Design Sector

Renate Buber and Marion Friedmann

Chapter 12 in Organising Knowledge, 2004, pp 180-192 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Good design is becoming increasingly important. In a globally competitive environment where products are becoming more and more similar and interchangeable, design is an important means of differentiating between products. Good design not only has to make quality visible but also has to take aesthetic, functional, technical, ecological, cultural, sociopsychological and cost-optimising factors into account.
