Abstract: Abstract One of the arguably more disappointing outcomes of globalization has been the rise in wage inequality in developing countries. With few exceptions, mainly in East Asia, wage inequality has increased under trade and financial liberalization. In Latin America, including Chile, this outcome has been particularly acute.
