Chapter Chapter 10 in Kick-starter.com, 2000, pp 289-307 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter discusses how to raise the funding for your Internet venture. First we sketch out what venture capital is and where you may find it. We then look at what motivates a venture capitalist (VC) and outline how they evaluate Internet investment opportunities. This leads to a pragmatic and innovative framework which will increase your chances of getting the funding. Finally, we look at the tactical do’s and don’ts of identifying and meeting venture capitalists, pitching your idea and securing the funding.
