Chapter Chapter 9 in Kick-starter.com, 2000, pp 261-288 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Horace seems pretty much to have caught the current mood among eBusiness entrepreneurs as they seek funding for ever more unusual ideas and ambitious schemes. Every day I get an email newsletter from Venture Finance News ( www.vfinance.com ) which describes the next $100m or so of investment in eBusiness ventures. So how does a value get attached to an eBusiness or to a business plan? What are the valuation methods? And what sort of financial model is required as part of the business plan?
