Introduction
Anni Townend
Chapter 1 in Assertiveness and Diversity, 2007, pp 3-7 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This book is about people and how we can work together to develop assertiveness, assertive relationships and assertive organizations. Assertiveness and diversity are closely entwined. It is not possible for people to be assertive if they do not feel safe. Many people do not feel safe and are not safe, and live and work in fear because they are different and unable to be themselves.
