Abstract: Abstract Since the early 1990s, China has shown robust economic growth with outstanding trade expansion. In this growth process, the Chinese economy was increasingly integrated into the world market, the advanced economies and neighbouring countries. In particular, close economic linkages with East Asian countries have been formed through the exchange of goods, capital, services and technology. While China’s neighbouring countries drew significant economic benefits from the expanding Chinese market, China itself needed to set up tight economic links with its neighbours in order to secure resources of market, investment, energy, technology, and management knowhow.
