Abstract: Abstract The phrase ‘service-led growth’ has been used rather frequently in the post-liberalization era of the India’s economy. A wide range of estimates corroborate that the contribution of the service sector has been increasing and steadily so over the last decade and a half. Concomitantly, there has been an increased usage of inputs of the service sector during liberalization. As mentioned in earlier chapters, it is a widely acknowledged fact that some of the country’s cutting-edge core competences in the spheres of finance and information technology emanate from the service sector.
