Growth Markets and International Expansion
Richard Thompson
Chapter Five in Real Venture Capital, 2008, pp 18-22 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract IN ORDER to achieve the aim of unlimited upside for a venture capital investment, it is vital to be operating in growth markets on the basis that it is easier to row with the current than against it. Since management and finance are limited in a venture capital firm, it is important to apply them to growth markets. It is also a waste of time to apply good management in investee companies to low growth markets in venture capital, although it makes more sense in the case of buy-outs and development capital.
