Chapter 9 in The Economics of Transaction Costs, 2003, pp 152-169 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The focus of environmental economics and governance varies from local to global environmental issues, and from preventive measures to mitigating aspects. In all cases, the design of policies involves the roles of various elements of behavioural, economic and scientific factors. Environmental governance requires the wider use of transaction cost economics (TCE), as this chapter demonstrates.
