Building an Advocacy Foundation
Barry Hessenius
Chapter Chapter 5 in Hardball Lobbying for Nonprofits, 2007, pp 65-82 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This section and subsequent sections assume that some type of collaborative effort is necessary for most nonprofit organizations to mount even a semblance of the comprehensive advocacy/lobbying/electioneering effort envisioned here. Individual organizations that have the perceived need and the requisite resources to go it alone can apply to the internal operations of the single nonprofit advocacy and/or lobbying model much of what is discussed in the following sections, which deal with the collaborative coalition.
