Abstract: Abstract At the beginning of the current period, the consumer goods industry holds an initial stock of physical capital, KCt. Let K C d (t+1) represent the industry’s desired stock of physical capital for the end of the current period, which is determined in accordance with its objective to maximize the present value of its operations.
