Managing Cultural Diversity: A South African Perspective

Lize Booysen

Chapter 4 in Diversity in Africa, 2007, pp 51-92 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract One of the main challenges for “world-class” firms in the early twenty-first century is managing diversity effectively. If diversity is effectively managed it can propel the organisation into a successful and competitive future, but if not, the growth and competitive advantage of the organisation can be severely hampered (Banutu-Gomez, 2002; Barkema et al., 2002; Booysen, Nkomo and Beaty, 2002; Human, 2005).
