Abstract:
Abstract The record of monetarist forecasts given in the last chapter included three letters from the ‘Liverpool Six’ to The Times. The six were Tim Congdon of Gerrard & National/Lombard Street Research, Bill Martin of UBS Philips & Drew, Patrick Minford of Liverpool University, Alan Walters, who had returned to Washington, Peter Warburton of Robert Fleming, and the author. The six were a spin-off from the Shadow Monetary Policy Group.
