Chapter Chapter 4 in From Battlefield to Boardroom, 2012, pp 97-120 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract When the charismatic US President, John. F. Kennedy said “Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country” in his 1961 inaugural speech he made an impassioned and memorable speech to the nation. His words called for a renewed commitment from the individuals of the nation, to combine in a common purpose, commit to a goal beyond the transactional relationship of management and strive for transformational engagement.
