Abstract:
Abstract This chapter offers additional justification for, and some necessary context to, the title for this book. In doing so, it begins to discuss the nature of Aristotle’s practical philosophy and argue for its continuing relevance to the study of organization, society and politics. The chapter concludes with an outline of the remainder of the book. To begin, I want to address directly the question of how Aristotle’s work remains relevant, and in doing so to consider some of the problems with calling on a long dead philosopher.
