Abstract: Abstract Several years ago, we authored our first book, From Knowledge to Intelligence, Creating Competitive Advantage in the Next Economy. In that book, we first proposed a framework, captured in the term Strategic Protection Factor (SPF), accomplishing several things related to the knowledge management (KM) and competitive intelligence (CI) fields.
