Abstract: Abstract We all bring a certain level of baggage to our workplace, whether this be stress from home (including problems in our personal relationships or with our children), financial burdens, weight problems or having to care for ageing parents. So how does one differentiate between a colleague who is going through a period of increased acute stress and something more serious? How do we tell if John from Accounts has a difficult personality style that clashes with our own or if he is exhibiting the signs and symptoms of a mental illness or personality disorder?
