Abstract:
Abstract The major objective of this chapter is to investigate the impacts of the set-aside programs on the same five economic indicators as presented in Chapter 1: that is, (i) the output supplies of crops and livestock, (ii) the variable factor demands, (iii) the maximized profits (or, ‘farm income’), (iv) the degrees of RTS, and (v) the shadow value (equivalently, marginal productivity or ‘rent-bearing capacity’) of farmland.1
