Chapter Chapter 2 in Creating Good Work, 2013, pp 19-28 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract I NEVER SET OUT TO BE a social entrepreneur. When I started my career as an attorney and consultant, the most prominent meme among those working for social change was civil society. The collapse of Soviet communism seemed to have ushered in a democratic golden age, for which nonprofit NGOs would provide the social capital necessary for robust governments and markets.
