Abstract:
Abstract Technological change drives innovation, which in turn drives economic growth. Sustained growth is a pre-requisite for wealth creation and social improvement. That has always been the case. But for any country managing the transition to a knowledge based economy, it is paramount. Such is the case in twenty-first century China. Building partnerships between major international creators of research and organisations which can take new innovations to market will be increasingly important to the knowledge based economy.
