Abstract:
Abstract ‘Can the boffins save us?’ read the headline1 in an article highlighting the research capability of UK universities. It makes the argument for greater emphasis on applied research and greater collaboration with industry to aid UK’s economic recovery. In a similar vein, this chapter argues for a more systematic approach to IP exploitation at our universities to ensure what can be commercialised is commercialised.
