Abstract:
Abstract The risk management profession has come under a great deal of criticism since July 2007. How could it not have anticipated the meltdown in financial markets? Were the tools that it had developed in the previous 20 years worthless? Was it too focused on historical data and not taking enough account of changing market conditions?
