Chapter Chapter 8 in Clout, 2014, pp 179-202 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The review of power in the workplace that has occurred here offered a 360-degree view of the subject. This was done to circumscribe and analyze a complex subject. From the perspectives of those at the top of organizations (the executive interviews), those who are largely subject to the powers of others (the survey research), contributions of dozens of individuals in mid-management (from personal connections), and organizational histories of power (case studies), a picture of power at work emerged. That picture formed the new model of power presented in chapter 1.
