Why Do People Post Messages on Stock Message Boards?
Ying Zhang
Chapter 4 in Stock Message Boards, 2014, pp 53-65 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Many people have experience with online posting via a message board, blog, forum, discussion group, e-mail list, or any other form of public mass communication. When leaving messages online, most of us do not think too much about why we do it. Sometimes, the reason is too simple for us to even ponder. For instance, answering an online question, sharing what we have seen or heard, forwarding a timely notice, or venting one’s anger could be a reason to post. It is not surprising that one message serves multiple purposes.
