Abstract Women represent a crucial positive value for the economy and they contribute substantially to business and economic growth: wome-nomics is a well-known concept used to indicate the relevance of women for the economy and society. Following this concept, gender equality is not only a matter of rights, but a key economic issue as well (European Commission, 2010; World Economic Forum, 2013).
