The Recovering Perfectionist

Karol M. Wasylyshyn

Chapter Chapter 3 in Destined to Lead, 2014, pp 57-79 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Wise beyond his years and already quite evolved as a leader when I met him, the subject of this case study represented a particular coaching challenge. This challenge centered on our discovering development areas that would truly capture and sustain his involvement. Working with this client, Jean Paul, was also an example of how unexpected business and personal events could nearly disrupt the career path of a gifted leader. These events, this leader’s adjustment to them, and how his ultimate career aspiration was realized highlight a story of remarkable tenacity, resilience, and courage.
