Abstract: Abstract Attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) has become an essential part of the development strategies of countries worldwide. Emerging economies offer various incentives to attract foreign investors, such as tax exemptions, tariff reductions or exemptions and subsidies for infrastructure (Liu, 2008).
