Chapter Chapter 2 in The Ambidextrous Organization, 2015, pp 45-64 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter we will highlight the leadership challenges from the perspective of the individual. As explained in the Introduction, an individual can be in the roles of: Architect; the strategist for change. Project leader. Implementer; the local manager in charge of applying the new process. The focus in this chapter will be on the roles of architects and leaders, in which individuals can exercise real choices. These roles require individuals to actively exercise their leadership rather than just perform their manager role. That choice is limited for an implementer. As the recipient of the innovation, this individual will have to focus more on the managerial aspects of implementation.
