Abstract:
Abstract This chapter details the underlying philosophy, benefits, and processes involved in the global project management standards and practices, the life of a project manager, and the role of a Project Management Office (PMO). Additional focus needed in addressing certain key aspects to overcome failures of large projects is also mentioned. A few methods and tips that can help successful project deliveries, the shift in approach that may be needed to move from project management towards project leadership, is also highlighted.
