Abstract:
Abstract On the European level, within the countries belonging to the European Economic Community (E.E.C.) and the European Coal and Steel Community (E.C.S.C.), extensive collective bargaining is widely considered to be urgently necessary in order to achieve harmonisation of working conditions as a tool for social progress; but there are also those for whom this is still a merely academic subject which does not offer any real prospects of success in the near future.
